POST VALENTINE'S SWEETHEART DANCE

The Posted hosted a Sweethearts Dance for Valentines on 13 February. This was also a fundraiser for the Commander as he moves up the District Chairs to be next year's District 8 Commander. Those that attended had a great time dining on food cooked by the Chairperson and lLadies Auxiliary member Margaret Russo, who unfortunately could not attend due to having surgery that day. Music was provided by DJ Derek, a member of the Men's Auxiliary. Assisting Margaret were Kathy Lis and Madam President Kathy Oldak. In all we had approximately 50 people come to support the Post and this event. I want to Thank every one involved for their participation and special thanks to Margaret (thought she doesn't like accolades) for the hard work she put in making this event a success.

MENLO PARK VETERAN'S HOME BINGO PARTY

The Post hosted a Bingo Party for the veterans of Menlo Park on 19 October. We had members of the Post, Ladies and Men's Auxiliary present. Earl Runkel, President of the Men's Auxiliary did the calling while all other members helped distribute food and prizes to the winners. There were approximately 50 vets there who seemed to enjoy themselves. Many thanked us for coming. Thanks to all who came to support this evening with the vets. Our next event for the vets of the home will be an off station Christmas dinner. Volunteers are always appreciated.
